Catalysts are substances that alter the rate of chemical reaction without undergoing any overall reaction themselves. Although catalysts are not used up in reaction, they participate by forming intermediate compounds in the conversion of reactants to products.
There are two types of catalysts: positive catalyst and negative catalyst.
Artenano nanocatalysts are positive catalysts that provide a new reaction path with a lower activation energy, so that more molecules can pass over the energy barrier and in turn speed up the rate of reaction.
A catalyst speeds up the rate of reaction by lowering activation energy (Ea).
